Best night ever!
Wow! last night was Alvin's annual Christmas gathering of all us Carter friends and it was absolutely wonderful! I miss my Toronto friends so much. I was so happy to just sit there on the living room floor surrounded by everyone talking and playing video games, it was just like nothing really has changed and yet I could still feel everything has changed, but not in a bad way. It's just starting to sink in now that as I get older everything will be different, not for the worst, it's just something I'll have to get used to and I'm ok with that. But last night let me know that no matter what, my friends will always be back, I'll always have them and I had this huge warm fuzzy feeling just watching everyone. Remembering the North York crew, we can still joke, laugh and talk without uncomfortable silence, my singing friends, always full of stories, I'm still so impressed with Patty's scrapbook. Wendy's going on a date!!! Hee hee, picking on her about that one was fun too! What? He's not white? LOL, aaah, none of you who read this will understand that, but that's great because it's still me and my friends that can just be us again and forever, we may have changed but we're still the same. I'm sure none of this makes sense, but I just really wanted to express how extremely happy I am to have been able to be with everyone again last night and I wish I could see them more often. I do miss them. Ooooh, and Stephen, my dear Stephen, how singing Disney with him is wonderful and finding out we've both gotten into country music recently...I tell you, that guy, we're connected until the end. I can still make him laugh so much and I'm so happy for it. OH! And he gave me some of his homemade truffles!! mmmmmm
On not so great news, I seem to have lost my daddy's Christmas present! My sister and I bought it in August and I hid it somewhere in my room, and now I can't find it, AND IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE!!! Oh dear, this is not good! Especially since that was Sara's gift to Dad too. *sigh* wish me luck on that one.... it's kind of funny, but at the same time, very frustrating.
