I arrived in Seoul evening of the 6th, so I count last Monday as day zero. Nothing much to tell about that day. I left my house around 10am, the plane took off a little after 1 pm and landed in Seoul some four hours later. Halfway between my house and the airport I realised I left my Palm Pilot sync cradle and my coupler on my desk (the coupler is that dangling bit one end of which you insert into your LAN Card and the other end is where the LAN cable is slotted in). So my laptop is pretty much half useless or half useful, depending on how desperate one is to get on the Internet.
Days 1 and 2 happened. Lots of unbelievably craptastic goings-on in the training site, which I do not want to discuss here, as it will probably bore to tears those who read my LJ. I know I am close to bawling just thinking about it.
Half the time I'm reading and writing email, which I could easily have done from my own desk, back home. The training team was supposed to convene this morning. Certain major and minor fiascos, which again I will not discuss here, have literally and figuratively barred most of the trainers' passage to Seoul. So two mates are still in Manila, two are still in Jakarta and one is in New Delhi (or somewhere between there and here). A., who lives in Melbourne is really only expected to arrive on the 14th.
So if I'm not going to diss out and dish out juicy gossips ... err controversies, what's this LJ entry for?
I'm all out of rant. I did all the ranting I can this past two days, live and in action. I think I'm merely jotting down the aftermath of an exhausting rant-o-fiesta. So this is me now, just babbling on to keep my brain pulsing until my body reboots itself. Sort of like a Windows PC on safe mode. Or Linux on single user mode.

With my coupler sitting on my desk back home, I had to buy a whole LAN card. So I did. Yesterday. I love the Asian knack for cheap knock-offs that actually work. This one I'm using now is one-fifth the price of my 3Com card. And it's a no coupler card.
And finally one more good thing that happened. I had dinner last night with one of my best friends (and a godmother to my son) who is also here in Seoul to start her one year stint as visiting professor one of the Universities here.
