You know re: recent developments, it occurs to me that when I do roleplay canon characters (SOMETIMES) I tend to not...pick up ones from canons that aren't in and of themselves flawed and kind of ridiculous/full of bad ideas. I can safely say that with most of them I'm putting in more thought than their original writers did in terms of 'oh how do ( Read more... )

So what's this you're doing, then? "Something from a canon that has some stupid shit that needs fixing" doesn't narrow it down much. :-)

(See also: all the probably excessive thinking and work I've done to reconcile various elements of Halo canon/history, the RvB variant of same, Grif's slackitude vs. his apparently having had to work to provide for/raise his sister, etc.)

Knights of the Old Republic 2, the Exile. Yeah, it's the one they DIDN'T EVEN FINISH MAKING.

But I knew if anyone would understand it would be you. :)

Ahaaaa. Tricky, yes. I actually never got around to playing the second game, although I enjoyed the first. (Candymanerous + HK-47 = all the lulz evar.)

haha Aw. :D

Oh my God those guys, yes! They show up in the second but without the same size of role, sadly.

Now, see, that's a damned shame, 'cause, really, aside from Jolee's cranky ramblings, with occasional meta jokes (["I guess you could say I did it all for the Wookiees." "The Wookiees?" "The Wookiees!"]), they were most of the best parts of the first game. I guess this is what happens when a different studio takes over developing the sequel: they lose sight of the truly important things.

(Actually, I occasionally liked putting Candyman and Carth in my party to see Candy bust out some of the "lol, Republic soldiers are wussy-boys, not TRUE WARRIORS" dialogue, but ideal was Candyman and HK for super-shooty support with snarky kill-em-all attitude.)

HAHA yes, Obsidian...could have done much better with their material, though occasionally Kreia raises to the occasion of being a cranky mentor, though flavored with ~evil~. Because now it's gritty.

Anything with either of them is basically going to be hilarious no matter how you cut it.

Mmmmm, grit.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more RP out of them. Someone used to do a pretty good HK-47, back in ye olde Sages days. I know feasco has a Bastila he brings out every so often (angryunderwear).

Oh.

Wait.

I know why there probably hasn't been... Because one person has fifty thousand AU Revans, that all end up being some sort of vapid male model PB'd schmuck who plays bottom in BDSM relationships with... I don't even care to keep track of who, but there's never really all that much of actual Jedi/Sith-ing it up. :/
