I love you Dukey
I still remember when I got him... I went on a Guides trip with my mom as a volunteer to the Humane Society. My mom called me over and there in front of her was the only dog that was not only not barking but sitting calmly and shaking my moms hand on command. We feel in love at first sight. I begged my dad to get him. A few days later I was running down the hill at the school (I was still at Wilfurd Jury) and I saw my moms van waiting for me. There sitting in the front seat was Duke! he was the best dog ever. a beautiful boy. Now on June 27 2006 our 15 year old boy needed to be put down. I will miss him but it was for the best. He didn't even have the strength to get up for a treat. I just hope Sammy will be ok without him. if any of you have seen Red Fern you will understand my worry.
