The one that's a stupid God-damned coincidence, MICHAEL!

Synopsis: Rhetta does nothing but hurt Michael by making the dangerous, foolish and unsupportable assumption that he would actually act on an impulse.

Summary: This is the idiot who just stopped making friends when Weed spoke to him. He's never going to make a move on Jody or Kit.

What really sells it is that she mistakenly believes that Michael will act on an impulse. He is a Patterson and does not thus act. He sits passively and lets life happen. She doesn't know how Martha entered the picture and why it felt right to him:




She doesn't know why he acted like a jackass about love letters:



She doesn't know that he cannot believe people are trying to make him react a certain way


because he cannot connect how he behaves with how he is treated so cannot realize that people can and do do things to stir a set response.

She failed to remember that he stood around like a passive lump not actually asking who that man she talked to was:


back when they first met.

(I remember Lorne but Mike doesn't so his yapping about her being seen with a man doesn't hold as much water as he thinks it does.)

Talking to yourself doesn't mean you're crazy, lots of people do that!

AND ENOUGH WITH "UH" AND "SIS"! NOBODY REALLY TALKS LIKE THAT AND IT MAKES THE CHARACTERS SOUND STUPID!!!
