I can understand that. My son would do similar kinds of things when he was younger and he typically ended up breaking something. Slamming the bedroom door may feel good, but not so good if the bedroom door no longer shuts.
Fortunately my wife is not as violent as Elly, which I think is something every husband would say. However, she has broken a few things in anger and for some reason, they have usually been my things.

my mean crazy ex used to break stuff damn near every time he got mad and he got mad a lot.
