Why would Gordon be nervous about marrying a woman he is already living with and who was pretty much dropped in his lap to be his wife?
As for the joke, it's funny because Brian is saying that Gordon and Tracey are nuts. What a wonderfully, unromantic and insulting statement. No wonder Michael thinks it is sticky-out tongue hilarious.
Looking at his comic strip, going from panel to panel it appears that Lynn has lost the ability to draw differences between Brian and Dawn. Let's see if you can tell which ones are Brian and which ones are Dawn from these other comic strips:
Brian is close to the end of his appearances. After Gordon and Tracey's marriage, he has two appearances standing in the background of Sunday comic strips but saying nothing. In the early days, Lynn had similar problems in drawing Brian and Dawn differently, but back in those days, Dawn had longer hair. After her haircut to make her hair shorter, there is really no distinction.
Looking at these pictures, if I were to shorten Dawn's hair or lengthen Brian's hair, there would be no facial difference.
Could be. The first two panels, Dawn/Brian looks especially Dawn-like. Whereas the last two look more Brian-like. I note that in all the pictures there are wrinkles and shading on the shirt which would imply Dawn/Brian has a chest.
Racism is not very much of a concern for Michael, Elizabeth and April, whose friends were definitely taken from the Wee Pals collection by Morrie Turner, except Lynn was obsessed with immigrants as the source of the diversity.
Lynn, on the other hand, until the Enjos showed up, has only Caucasian friends.
1. Once again, a mildly amusing comment is met with open-mouthed laughter as if the funniest joke ever was just uttered.
2. What a stupid joke- "the nuts that hold it together?" So many ways to interpret that. I'll just keep it simple- 99 percent of the time, when people say "my grandmother/grandfather always said..." you can be sure that they are lying and that they are just trying to slap an authoritative label on a stupid saying they made up or heard somewhere.
3. "Hey, that's nothing to be worried about" said to a guy who literally just told you that he's not nervous. Way to pay attention, Michael.
4. If anyone should be worried, it should be Tracey, because her intended seems to be aging in dog years.

Just remember, no real Asian complained about this "All look alike" business. (Fu Manchu is a real Asian. Ken Jeong isn't.)

I am not an Asian, but this drawing of Brian got me thinking, "This could be Dawn."
Brian has a chest. Brian is wearing a shirt that shows off his cleavage. Brian has tiny slender arms.

Lynn will not address this. Also, I guess we know who won Androgyny Night.
Reply
Either Brian or Dawn won it. I am not sure which.

Elly is expecting Michael to say something racist because she's racist.

Because she buys into the bullshit that kept the Dominions fallow with foreigners jealously barred out.

Also, why the Hell is he worried about a woman who point-blank refuses to humiliate him by speaking in public?
