Star Wars RPG Saga Edition

Ok, so after the tail end conversations of the last gaming night I checked out the SWD20 website and saw a new core rulebook was released, nice to see some actually work being done in the genre! I got my hands on a copy of this and overall I like it, but I believe it has many of the DnD 4th edition features:

Talents - not only do you get skills and feats, but you get talents to pick from as you level. 4th might have this too from some of the stuff I was reading. Overall, I like these. Talents are not limited to your class, as you gain access to more via prestige classes and force sensitive feat. The part I liked the best, Sneak Attack is a talent. Yes, you can make a rogue type char who just doesn't know how to backstab someone! Let's you customize things better overall.

Skills - Ok, you either have trained skills, untrained skills, or skills unusable when not trained. You don't put skill points into them. The die bonus you get for all skill checks are as followed:

trained skills = 1/2 your level + ability modifier + misc modifier + 5
untrained skills = 1/2 your level + ability modifier + misc modifier

You get to choose your base skills at 1st level based the class you've choosen (and Int mod) from that class's list of class skills. You can add more 'trained' skills later on by taking the Skill Training feat. Overall, it simplifies things a lot, but some likely will dislike it a lot.

Force Powers - They are in a once per encounter type of setup, but you dont get as many as you would in the once per day thing. I'll got over that a bit later..

Thoughts? I'd love to try running a game if I can get folks interested, but I want to pickup the hard copy of the book first.
