The two common bridge trolls downstairs made life for Mike and Deanna sheer Hell because they're worse behaved than the Pattersons.

I don't blame Mira for giving the bastard what-for:

because he has it coming. I can blame Deanna for lying back and taking his bullshit.

That being said, she needn't have bothered as the Mighty Fist Of Ham was already on the case:

The irksome thing about this is not that the Pattersons say that he deserved to get skin grafts. The bothersome thing is that Mike says disapproving things about the mother-in-law whose generosity lessens him as he camps out in his kid sister's room like a moron.

Most of the Kelpfroth's complaints were legitimate. Mike and Dee's kids left toys everywhere, the parents took over the front yard with toys and an eyesore kiddie pool, and Mike wrote a slanderous article about them. But no matter how anal the Kelpfroths may have been about noise, nothing forgives Lovey's "who cares if they were seriously injured? They damaged my house and inconvenienced the Pattersons" attitude.

Michael did not have to stay there. If he would have manned up, he'd have done what his dad did when he had a child.

If you won't call a person who lives with his family in his sister's bedroom and avoids any opportunities to move out a Man, you have to come up with a new phrase for a person who will quit his job while in that situation. Michael actively avoids any of the positive attributes associated with Manhood. I don't know what Lynn thought she was portraying with Michael, but in real life the family makes up a story to tell everyone- especially Michael's kids- that does not match reality. Robin and Meredith deserve better images of both parents; I endorse them being protected from the truth.

I endorse them being protected from any Patterson not named after a month.

Hey Dee, know when the kids needed you to be strong? When the simp you married was waffling on even looking at a place to live other than his sister's bedroom. But you totally failed them. No strength when your kids needed a home. Just when you had the opportunity to throw your parents out the door. F-- off, Deanna.

She's strong when it comes to ducking responsibilities and enabling her loser husband.

Also, sixteen years have passed since we last saw these people. By now, the idiots are wondering why their children call them useless.

My neighbor's kids scream their lungs out every day and no one tells them not to.

Second strip, second panel: Is Deanna walking downstairs backwards, and why would anybody do that?

Sweetcheeks? I guess that's another one that fell down the generation gap, like "jerk"? I've only ever heard it used in reference to the buttocks.
