I had the best day!
Es and Saj had planned to meet me at Las Chicas, one of my favourite cafes down St Kilda way and while i was waiting, Reubs came by and had a coffee with me, which was fabu! He bought me a lovely bright Gerbra and Es and Saj bought me the most fabulous bunch of flowers with these AMAZING flowers that look like velvet coral and are this rich plum colour <3
I had THE BEST STACK PANCAKES EVAH with boysenberry coulis and orange marscapone and mint. mmmmmm.
Es has a superb fruit platter. It was very fuck off and awesome!
And saj had the enoki mushroom omelette.
AND THEN THEY BOUGHT ME A CARROT CAKE WITH SPARKLERS!
i was actually really full by then, so saj ate the cake, while i finished Essie's kiwi fruit XD
Es and Saj got me Not Your Mama's Knitting and Essie made me AWESOME earrings - Amethyst and Peridot - and they totally suit me and even went with my outfit! AND THEN... i bought BIRTHDAY SHOES. DEY IS SPOTTY!!!!
Then we went to Beads and Buttons Galore on High Street, for Essie to plunder for beads. They have a great range of precious stones there. I bought quite a few too. But I came home and realised i only have gold earring hooks and silver head pins *facepalm* So I made one pair and some Stitch holders instead.
Then! we went to The Wool Baa so a) Saj could see it in all it's awesomeness, b) I could pat the pretties and c) Es could pick out the yarn she wants her mitts in. Es bought some pretty pretty yarn and is knitting on SUPERLARGE needles to make a sort of cobwebby scarf, so I sat and pulled out my enormosocks and everyone was duly impressed that that is my FIRST SOCK EVER. So I bought MYSELF some sock yarn. lulz. Including Opal yarn, which yarnies will know is a self patterning sock wool. I also drooled on rowan, the jo sharp and the debbie bliss. *sigh* *grabby hands* We had an AWESOME conversation with this woman about young crafters and her daughters and all sorts of things and we had tea there (in mugs that said I Love Ewe, Thinking of Ewe and Especially For Ewe <- *WANTS*) and it was loverly.
Then! We went to Spotlight and spent more money! On Patterns! they had massive sales, but my VIP card isn't working properly and so we had to tell the poor guy what the prices were and he just put them in. we hope he doesn't get in trouble!
And then Essie was feeling very tired and faint, so teh girls dropped me off and went home and I sorted my new (and old) beads into my new bead containers and my threads into my new thread sorter (awesome) and made some turtle earrings (so cute) and a set of 5 stitch markers.
And now i am going to have dinner with Deanne at Arkibar! yay! what an Awesome day!
