weekend

ok, so, those of you who care will already know about the GF...
whilst i am obviuosly disappointed in the result, i am still super proud of my boys for getting there. (yes i claim ownership XD)
at the end of the day we were there when 14 other teams weren't and 1 point is just as much of a loss as 100 (and 30). It just meant we could relax (albeit in a negative way) earlier in the game. And Geelong were superb and their supporters were wonderful, so my congratulations go deservedly out to them.
I only hope that my boys let this spur them, make them hungry and ready for next year.
Bring on 2008

meanwhile, my mummy and i had a great time despite the loss...
after the game we had consolitory drinks and icecream at the malty. grand marnier for mum and drambuie for me (it really is the drink that satisfies) and we had raspberry and chocolate icecream. NEXT TIME YOU VISIT THE MALTHOUSE, MELBOURNIANS, YOU MUST HAVE ICECREAM. it was soooooooo good and a perfect balm. Then we had awesome gourmet fish and calamari and salad with chips from grill'd.
and we watched thank god you're here finale, spicks and specks that mum taped and fell asleep in front of the tv XD

then on sunday we went to the south melbourne markets, cos mum hadn't been there and bought yummies for dinner. WE also bought this organic aloe vera based skin care stuff... maybe we were conned into it, but it does feel nice and i have been wanting to use less chemicals in my daily routine. (thanks to es and saj and the malthouse greening project i've been a little more greeeeeen lately... i switched my energy plan to the 20% green power at origin and am getting better light bulbs and recycling my water when i can ... and yeah.)

So last night, i rearranged the lounge to have a PROPER sit down dinner, and Es and Saj and Dea and Jason came over.

It was such a joyful night and I had such a ball (as did lilah and boo! who got much attention)
Lilah is a card shark... we played briscola and lilah sat on jason's lap and offered advice.

Saj: "have you got briscola?"
Lilah *looks at cards* *twitches ears*
Jason: "no"
Saj: ok.
