Weekend of Awesome
So... I had a weekend of awesomeness,
which mainly involved rehearsal (ok so not all that awesome, but still fun and cool) and hanging out with Rhiannon who was in Melbourne with the Bell Actors at Work crew.
Saturday night was footy night and saw us traipsing down to the Village Belle to watch Port v Brisbane... only to find the Bledisloe on every screen after having rung ahead to see if they'd show it!
Eventually after much apologising and 'i dont know who told you that's they pointed out there was a tiny screen in the TAB room showing it, which was all Rhi and i needed before grabbing our champers and racing up to watch it!
Was wonderfully bogan XDXD there were a handful of other die hards there, including an ex-neighbour's actor XD RANDOM - whose son went to a school my dad taught at before he was born. MORE RANDOM
was a nerve wracking finish, but we won XD Then Rhi and i went home, put on the game from the week before and promptly passed out lol.
Last night we went to see Osama the Hero (playing at La Mama til Sat) which had two of our fellow flinders peeps in it. Twas awesomeness. Great show. So we had a drink with the director and aforementioned mates which was fabulouso before heading to a pub they were supposed to meet us at... which they didn't.
So instead Rhi and I spent about an hour and half talking to this fellow who's in the band of Sleeping Beauty here at Malty who i only met on Friday.
MORE RANDOMNESS.
Rhi and i seriously had such a ball. She came into work with me this morning before heading off and had a coffee.. which i have discovered gives me the shakes big time. And I'm only drinking mocha!
So meanwhile. I have tech tonight, dress tomorrow night, open wednesday and of course work all week, an audition sat, catch up with Jess (one of the mates in the play) Sat afternoon and then Sunday... ah, blessed sunday, oh you dy of SLEEPINGNESS! Don't have to do anything until 6.30pm.
SO I AM EXPECTING A LEVEL 70 RUN OF SOMETHING! or possibly a Sucky temple run through *begs her wowiness friends*
*sigh*
I am in the office alone today and have finished all of the things i need to have done by 5 (am leaving early cos of rehearsals- took a short lunch).
Oh also, my first week here... (so last weekend) got to see the Pillowman (SO FUCKING AMAZING) and Ying Tong (oh you goony humour you) which i loved. Sweet first week of freebies! Also saw Paul Capsis on Fri night... was disappointed after the build up from the malty crowd. he was very very talented, but I wasn't really taken by him.
