ok... so i felt it went well today.
i will find out in the morning if i have a call back.
in the meantime i am meant to be working on an 'innovative and original way to tell one of [either macbeth, lear, hamlet, merchant or twelfth night] in under 3 minutes.
i feel like my idea is a bit naff, but everyone i've talked to likes it... which is to be lady macbeth in pergotory, remembering bits and pieces of her life, hearing tell of the final folly of macbeth...
i dunno. haven't come up with anything better.
and of course i am EXHAUSTICATED from stressing all day.
good news is i'm a sort of friend of the director who graduated from flinders in 1999 and did his masters in directing in 2000. so that was a bit of a relief to have a friendly face to audition to. People always say not to forget that the auditioners want you to be the one as well (since it means they can stop looking) but i felt like it was true this time!
rhiannon is a champ and great company. we went shopping at chaddy after the audition. i bought a pretty dress from target in that... is it lace anglais i'm thinking off... broderie it says on the tag... it's black and pretty and wrap around... and i got it for $20 cos one of the ties has almost come off. 5 mins on the sewing machine and BARGAIN! lol
It has a black underdress, but i'm thinking of making a coloured one so make it a bit more day-time summery to peek through the lace!
*makes notes on the story of macbeth which she knows like the back of her hand*
*thinks of interesting ways to have lady macbeth in pergatory that don't sound like wank*
*dies*
*passes out*
