1) Tom's present age is thrice Sally's age some years ago. Conversely, Sally's present age is Tom's age the same number of years ago. Given that the sum of their present ages is 30 years, how old is Tom now?

2) If Julia gave Lisa $90, Lisa would have 1/3 as much as Julia. If Lisa gave Julia $40, Lisa would have 1/4 as much as Julia. What is the total amount of money that both of them have?

3) Joseph had some blue, red and green beads. There were 80 blue and red beads altogether. 180 beads were not red and 210 beads were not blue. What fraction of the total beads are green?

Remember, no algebra allowed.
