Dr Sketchys, Manchester
Got to the Willy Wonka themed Dr Sketchy's anti art school on Wednesday. Was a great night for a load of reasons - doing something arty and creative with Courtney, doing some life drawing again (but with no tutor looking over your shoulder making you nervous) and feeling like part of Manchester's creative scene. It was also good attending an unofficial MCC event as I've never been to one of those before, even if the only other member I recongised in there was Adam (who was busy in his Moleskin all night).
Below's a scan of the sketch that won me a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory DVD (minus the dead children*, they were cluttering the piece up). Some more are over in a set on my Flickr if you're interested.
( * the original sketch featured four of the Golden Ticket winners being skewered by an angry Oompa Loompa. Mike Teevee was the lone survivor. I've left them out of this scan for reasons of taste, decency and mostly, composition)
