.. and relax

I've finally completed Video Nasties #2 - save for a couple of alterations to some earlier pages and a cover. I've felt quite lame not having anything to post for the last few months, but I've been more productive minus the scanning-a-page-every-time-I've-got-done stuff. I got the last eight pages of the comic done in just under a week, which must be a new record for me. Even got a page pencilled and inked at work during my breaks (which I've later redone, but it was still a nice page). I managed to do this due to tight scripting and working on A4. Really helped. The static kind of layout of those last few pages helped too, I suppose. Static in the best possible sense.

Those last eight pages were a flashback, concerning Sylvie Baker, one of the missing kids central to the story. I had a lot of fun drawing it. And think that so far, young Sylvie has remained the most consistently on-model character I have ever drawn.  The above panel is one of my favourites from the sequence.

The comic should now hopefully be all printed up as a mini by the end of the week, giving me ample time to relax before Bristol. And I've got absolutely no idea how Bristol is going to go. I'm just going to calm myself down and do my best attempt at selling myself this time - I was totally not with it at the Thoughtbubble con in Leeds last year. Courtney's presence should chill me out a bit.

I'll post more now I've got it done and can breathe.
