You're my new grandson Bingo, aren't you? You do look like Frodsie and Bingie. I'm so sorry, dear. *caresses his cheek*
*goes over to Anaire's body, sets a candle beside her and lights it, says a prayer of safe passage, gently closes Anaire's eyes and lays her hands in her lap*
Thank you, my dear lady. You must be Mirabella Took. I am Elanor Gamgee. I'm so sorry that we had to meet under such unfortunate circumstances, but I'm glad that you're here.
*gets a cloth, kneels, and deftly pulls Ringil from Anaire's chest, wipes the light flow of the already coagulating blood, wipes the cool, shining blade and wraps it in a blanket, ties the blanket up with cord around the blade and makes a sling of the cord, sprinkles herbs over the body, wraps her in another blanket, slings the wrapped blade over her shoulder*
Anaire's "family", if you could call it that, should be coming back for her at some point. Those herbs should slow the decay.
*respectfully kneels close by but not too close out of fear of invading Mirabella's space as she witnesses her care of and ministrations to Anaire's body*
*nods* Thank you, my dear lady, for showing Anaire such care right now.
... Her family isn't all bad. And Anaire was such a wonderful, beautiful spirit...
*bites lip and looks away in vain hopes of trying to keep from breaking down entirely in front of the lady before her*
*nods* . . . and well she was repaid by the he-Elves and their nasty games!
*looks at Elanor with a weighing look, then a kind one* You're a brave lass. Don't neglect your rest, or you'll do these petty lords you're fond of little good. *smiles* Not that you'll listen to me, hmm?
*takes a sprig of athelas out of her pouch and puts it in Elanor's hair* Crush one of those leaves and breath in the aroma when you've pushed yourself to the edge of sleepiness and just need to go a little further, which undoubtedly you'll do.
*shuts her eyes briefly against the pain of knowing this all too well*
*blushes and smiles slightly to hear the lady call her 'brave' and then wonders if she somehow knows like Anaire did. Her smile then brightens a bit in recognition of the truth of her perhaps not listening as carefully as she should to Mirabella's advice*
*blushes again and very gratefully accepts the sprig of athelas*
Thank you, my dear lady. I have seen this plant before but I never knew of its properties. And yes, I am sure it will come in very handy in the coming days.

This is a tragedy. And more blood will be shed.
