Deja vu-- Damn it!!
I am about ready to make animal sacrifices to the computer gods to appease their wrath. Since I apparently pissed them off without my knowing it.
The hard drive on Wimsey has developed problems so I am, once again, computer-less for this weekend. Thank God for small mercies but at least this weekend is my one journal-free weekend so I don't have to worry about that. *crosses fingers* My new hard drive should arrive on Monday which means I have another long evening of reinstalling all my programs and setting up my bookmarks and transferring my data over ahead of me on Monday. (Which also means that I have to get all my reading for class on Tuesday done this weekend as I'm not going to have time to do it on Monday.)
I'm now going to be living in fear that at the end of the 4th week of next semester, Wimsey's going to break again. Last fall semester, my computer broke at the end of the first week. Last semester, my computer broke at the end of the second week. This semester-- it breaks at the end of the 3rd week. Methinks I am beginning to sense a pattern here. And I am NOT amused.
So much for being productive and writing a lot of cover letters this weekend...
