random thoughts on a Wednesday night
Item 1: There may come a day when I master some self-control and discipline and learn to resist the temptation of fanfic...
But- obviously- it is not this day. ;-P me=dork. Yes, I know this.
Item 2: *hugs madlori* Who deserves nothing less than eternal adoration and worship for her writing.
There are an awful lot of real assholes in the HP fandom (in every fandom I suppose, as stupid people are unfortunately everywhere, but it's especially noticeable in the HP fandom).
Item 3: As I predicted 3 years ago on leaving England (and now I know it's true), I really am destined to spend the rest of my life pining for Oxford and England, feeling nostalgic about it and loving to talk about it ad nauseum to anyone who will listen. My latest victim listener: my Korean teacher who spent a year studying at Cambridge when she was in school and therefore sympathizes.
Item 4: Lois & Clark S2 arrived!! Squeeee!!!! (There goes any hope of productivity this weekend...) Dean Cain as Clark Kent/Superman is so HOT. *drools* *dies* Have decided I must make some Lois/Clark icons to use... And a 'Hot guys are a joy forever' icon. :-D
ETA: Item 5: I may disdain JKR for many reasons but I will say that I am grateful to her for creating the universe that made me begin writing more extensively. I love that now I can honestly say I love to write and I love that I can understand and sympathize with writing woes and joys now. It's a nice feeling.
