seventy-eight

Last night we returned from Nashvegas at 4 AM and, exhausted as I was, I couldn't go to sleep. It really hit me hard that this was our last Team Camp; the camp will continue but our reign is over. Next year new, younger coaches' kids will take over our jobs. An emotional investment into a wrestling camp is strange, but when you are involved in something for seven years then there will be some sort of attachment.

I think however it all represents something more- my dad's wrestling teams, late night tournaments at MBA, the Simpsons (my second family)- it was all really my childhood and this last Camp is yet another reminder of so many things coming to an end.
