Help!

Okay, I have a problem about school; our teacher told us two weeks ago (one day before the vacations began), that we have to make a speech infront of the class. He didn't give us a lot of information and I think he did that on purpose; he only gave us a speech structure, that means we should chose a subject where we have to speak about the past, present and future. The problem I have is that I never have to make a speech, that the thought of speaking infront of the class for 5min drives me crazy and the main problem is that I don't have any idea for a subject. 
I'm so desperate that I thought I should make a speech about "Why is it so difficult to find a subject for a speech", but I don't know everything sounds so stupid and I definitely don't want to speak about politics.

It would be great if someone could give me some tips and ideas. =)
