This evening I was able to enjoy a few hours of unexpected spare time, because the horse I am riding had an appointment with the blacksmith. Somehow I felt like drawing... *g*
I apologize if the sketch is a bit sloppy but I'm not exactly a genius when it comes to pencil.

You are definitely right about the haunted expression. However, I'm still wondering how it got there, since the screencap from Human Reaction that I used as a model showed a rather soft and vulnerable looking 1st season John.

The "roughness" is mostly due to accentuating some of the already existing lines with a rather soft graphite pencil (6B). Have you ever experimented with sepia mines and/or charcoal? Because if you like different, subtle shades of brown that is cleary the way to go.
Oh, and btw.: I'm still smiling all over my face. It's so great to see that you've got an LJ :-)

*LOL* The damn thing about good artists is... they mostly become rich after they have died. -.-

No, I never did. I'm one of those silly "just use the basic stuff"-artists. *g* But I guess I should try sepia mines. *adds them to her shopping list*

We've got something in common then... no, two things, actually. The "big smile" and the thought of how great it is that each of us has a LJ. *shakes hands with Bimo* ;)
