Watched New Earth, but didn't really enjoy the episode. Too rushed, too cliched, about five different plotlines hackneyed into one. David Tennant, however, appears to make a fine, interesting Doctor. I'm wondering whether the authors are going to use the Tenth Doctor's overly confident, self-assured behaviour for future story developments.

Sometimes ;-)
But trust me, the original picture doesn't look half as good as the scanned one...
I'll have to watch some dr.who one of these days, as everyone seems so taken with it
It's a pretty nice show, in my opinion. Dead funny, but also quite dramatic at times.
If you decide to give it a try, my advice would be to start with "Rose", the pilot episode of the new series, as it provides a fairly good introduction to the show's general concept.

I would recommend the first 2005 season It is a really good point to venture into this 40 year old TV tradition ;-)
Would you like to have it sent to you?

As we have discussed before, I do go along with your analysis of the episode. What I find interesting, then, is that you have depicted the doctor much darker, much less glamorous than shown in the first two episodes. "A vision of things to come"? ;-) I think it suits him nicely; and given the logic of the series, his behavior can not but lead into something darker, at least imho. Lets see, what the authors think
