Yes there comes that time in work where you believe some time off is order. Your stressed, fed up and go to bed thinking about the latest Retail plan figures instead of Kelly brookes figure. Time for a week off then?? WRONG!!!!!
No no no, preceeding my week off I had to do double the work to make up for the work i cant do when im not there cus no other fuckers gonna do it, plus my director chief bloke was going on holiday so naturally I had to do half of his too so he can go home early. Therefore i just about made it alive into my holiday with stress/pissed offness levels only 4 days of solid Guiness drinking could solve (oops).
Then having relaxed and enjoyed myself , i had to put up with an almighty bout of pre-work depression on Sunday(the what am i doing with my life, i need a new job, fuck it i mean move abroad, fuck it i dont know, helppppp!!!!!!!!! type). I think the key is not to relax or enjoy yourself or have time to think, then work wont seem as bad.
I enjoyed the lakes though, I finished my 15km hill race in 1hr 40 (hills suck) and felt fit for once. Feel nice and motivated and and 'ard.
Also had a windsurfing lesson in the week, which was fun if not difficult.
The only things that sucked was the lack of waves so i couldnt go to Bude surfing and the fact i didnt know what to do with myself when off, too used to working.
