12 of 12: June, Impressionist Bowling Edition

Jun 13, 2010 12:39

Here we are again, in a very different season for me, but also a remarkably busy day. For those of you who don't know, my husband, graymalkn , was killed in a bicycle accident 3 1/2 weeks ago. Here are his previous 12 of 12 entries. See Chad Darnell for the 12 of 12 works.

9:30 am, Oakland: Not feeling shiny, but it actually is morning, amazingly for me.

9:43 am, Oakland: On my way to pick up pasajera  and her husband Chris. They are in town for a memorial bike ride in honor of graymalkn . This bike ride happened today (the 13th).

10:50 am, San Francisco: Chris and I wait for the others to assemble to go into the Birth of Impressionism exhibit at the deYoung Museum.

12:44 pm, San Francisco: Jack takes a photo of his post-Impressionist (ha ha) lunch. Still at the deYoung; the cafe there is quite good. The exhibit was very good - some excellent Monets, Manets, etc, a Cezanne I loved, some other nice things. All from the Musee d'Orsay. They didn't bring my favorite Monet pic from there, but oh well.

2:29 pm, San Francisco: pasajera  and I wait in terrible traffic on Oak St. That's what happens when a truck blocks the lane headed for the freeway.

3:09 pm, Oakland: Picking up graymalkn 's mom, Bobbie, at Oakland Airport.

3:36 pm, Oakland: Bobbie shows pasajera  a shirt of graymalkn 's that she's thinking of leaving on his ghost bike.

6:44 pm: My darling Clydeberry

7:47 pm, Oakland: Chris and Jack at dinner at Barney's Burgers on College Ave. Yum!

8:46 pm, Oakland: Reflection in car parked next to us. That weird flower diorama caught my eye.

10:54 pm, Livermore: Believe it or not, my first drive-through experience, and it was a Starbuck's. On my way to...

11:28 pm, Livermore: Formalwear bowling in honor of graymalkn , organized by funranium , who was looking spiff in his traditional Scottish gear. Here we also see lovelylira .
