(no subject)
Whee! I'm so excited! I worked all morning on my story - the long one that's been giving me so much damn grief. I just didn't know where to start, and couldn't organize all the thoughts and ideas in my head. I think actually, the story just needed brewing time. Now, I have a fully fledged outline and I'm excited to be starting it, really starting. Of course, I'm also petrified, as I think it's a really neat and original concept, but I'm not so positive that I am up to the task of pulling it off. *shrugs* Try and see, that's all we can do, right? Plus - I have the added incentive of a looming deadline; I want to finish before the new book comes out and rips my lovingly and painstakingly crafted theories to shreds (which is, of course, inevitable). :D
On a RL note - I got a new phone today. Whew! Been needing one for a while now. Best thing is - got hubby to get one as well. He hates cell phones (and I don't really blame him - I think they're a necessary evil myself), and has avoided getting one until now. But we had a scare last week where he was super late meeting me, and I was all stranded without transportation and no way to get a hold of him, and of course thinking he was dead in a ditch off the side of the highway. Ok, so I'm a worrier, but it was enough of a trial to make him admit having a way to contact each other in the wilderness of LA would be a good thing. :D
And I swear the guy at the wireless store thought we were some kind of dinosaurs from another era or something; hubby being a cellphone virgin and me having this quasi-prehistoric phone. LOL!
