So prom was last night. Holy f-ing shit.
Craig picked me up at my house around 5:15. The second my mom sees him on the porch, she says, "Damn, he's a gangster." Exact words. I almost shit myself. We then proceeded to go to Mac's house to pick them up. They weren't ready, and we ended up leaving at 6 or so. Jackie and Mac looked AMAZING. Let me also say, some parents were freaking out about our lateness. We were getting phone calls left and right. We rushed over to Katie's house, where all the frustrated parents were. As soon as we walked in the door, pictures were being taken. I think Mac and Jackie went into shock. We went out back and had a mad photo shoot, mainly organized by Bart's sister, Jacie. She is a psycho. The limo came and we walked outside in amazement. 14-person Lincoln Navigator. Holy shit.
Another photo shoot ensued, until Bart took the initiative and walked towards Jacie menacingly. We actually gathered a small crowd of people who walked out of their houses and were looking at us strangely. Bart's dad jokingly asked them if they wanted their picture with the limo. Bart's family is so funny. In every aspect of the word.
We got in the limo and started bumping rap like woah. That's the only way to describe it. My mom told me later that the parents all started laughing because they could hear it even after we left the street. We told the driver that we had some time to waste, and to drive around a bit. We were thinking about driving through Sausalito, but he drove around San Francisco instead. David really was the life of the party in the limo. By the way, our limo consisted of me, Jackie, Craig, Mac, David, Katie, Bart, Heidi, Aram, Lana, Myles, and his date Julie. She is kinda a skank, to use the immortal words of Heidi, but I have to agree.
So we pulled up in front of Pier 9 and David yells something out of the window. Easily a third of the people standing in line, some 200 or so, turned and watched us get out. It was baller as shit. There were a lot of guys I know who cleaned up really well. I was surprised how good a alot of people looked in tuxes. As for females... There were a lot of scantily dressed girls. Skanks (thanks Heidi). Some had dresses that barely covered the bottoms of their asses, and others that barely held their boobs in. I only saw a few exceptionally good looking girls, 3 of which I hung out with. I'll make you guess. It's more fun that way.
Everyone had dinner, and by everyone I mean everyone but me. I didn't know what was in the food and deemed it too risky to try it. The first Shirley Temples were really shitty, but the others were good. Prom was kinda a big blur, but at one point we went outside just as we were coming back from under the Golden Gate Bridge. That was amazing. Talking to Laurel was really cool. She is such a cool girl. We talked about astrology and crayons and N'sync. Don't ask. OG and Ted were as physical as ever, and I had to take Ted's hand off me, whereas usually he takes it off himself. Jackie and I had a lot of quiet speculation times, which are always awkward. However, not much else can be expected when putting two awkward kids together at Prom. We played Blackjack, quadrupling our money before betting it all and losing. I heard John won upwards near 4 million in Craps until they kicked him off the table. I'll have to confirm that later.
It started drizzling as we left the boat, so I held Jackie close as we walked to the limo. That was nice. We got back in the limo and had a good old time on the way back. The limo driver made something like a 40 point turn in front of Katie's house, which was starting to piss us off because we were still in it. Jackie and Mac really wanted to go to Denny's. Well, Jackie had to be back at her house, so Craig, Mac, and I went over there and we waited for her mom to go back to sleep before we left, adding her god-sister, Lily, to the posse. We arrived at Denny's and lo and behold, guess who was there. Bart, Heidi, David and Myles. I got 2 things of hash browns. Then I got 3 more. I couldn't eat the 5th one because I was getting kinda sick from all the potato. Too much... UUUGHHH...
Well, we went back to Jackie's and played Sorry. Craig won, but not by much. After that, Craig and Mac snuggled up and I kinda died there on the floor. Everyone kinda passed out for a bit, but I ended up just lying there, still awake, but barely. We laid in silence for about 20 minutes until Craig and I decided to go. Mac was out like a light. Jackie got up to let us out and I gave her a biiiiig hug. I then realized how little I wanted to leave, but I pried myself away.
Craig was driving me home when I noticed a familiar-looking car in the 7-11 parking lot. I said, "Oh my God, it can't be..." Craig was like, "No.... Are you kidding?" I replied, "That looks a lot like David's car." So we turned in and saw two familiar looking people looking at us from inside. David and Myles came running out and we talked for a few minutes. Something about Annick's party, I was too half-dead to understand.
I got home at 4:40. How awesome is that?
Moral of the story: David is destined for high society. Craig is a gangster. Laurel is one cool kid. Myles gets ditched a lot. Mac needs to sleep more. Jackie is beautiful. And as for me? I dunno, you tell me.
P.S. Mac never got orange juice at Denny's.
P.P.S. Tell me if I left anything out.
