Mark Your Calendars - Batman 3 Has A Date - Preview
It’s been a long journey to get to where we are today. In fact, not too long ago, we were still left wondering not when a third Batman movie might take place, but if a third Batman movie might take place... and let me rephrase myself just a bit - a third Batman movie under the direction of Christopher Nolan. One way or another, Warner Bros. planned to move ahead with the Batman franchise. It’d be ridiculous to think they wouldn’t, as there is an endless amount of money to be made on their end from The Kidd and people like you salivating over another Batman movie after another Batman movie after another Batman movie. However, the studio has been content to wait out Nolan’s indecision about continuing, because they realize and accept he’s been that damn good in rebuilding the Batman franchise after it was absolutely devalued to worthless standing following that whole “Batman & Robin” debacle (thanks for the nipples, Joel Schumacher). But after being given plenty of time to make up his mind on if “Batman 3” was something he could put his heart into, Nolan decided to return, a story was hatched, a script is in the works, and “Batman 3” is suddenly on the fast track to happening, nearly as quickly as we thought it might not. And now the end game is in sight, with Warner Bros. planting their flag on the film calendar with an official release date for the movie tentatively titled “Batman 3.”
