So I left ATL on 12/20.  Traffic was not too bad in ATL (even around Mall of GA.)  As I got further north ( Greenville, SC and Concord, NC) there was traffic spilling onto the highways from nearby shopping malls.  It was pretty ugly.  I rented a car from Hertz at the airport.  I went in and had requested a hybrid to see how one of them drove.  When ( Read more... )

Called my mom for Mother's Day.  She informed me that my father had been back in the hospital for his foot again.  He's back home now and doing as well as can be expected.  Said that she didn't call me as she had posted it on the family website and that she figured that I would have seen it but had noticed that I had not recently been on the site ( Read more... )

I have been fighting off depression all weekend.  I did do some retail therapy which yielded some clothes that I will not be able to wear until I lose a couple of inches off of my fat ass, so that really didn't help (I misjudged sizes.  Something told me I should have tried them on first.)
