Sounds of the Underground 2006
Yesterday the Sounds of the Underground 2006 and man it was a fucking great show...it seems like this summer has been nothing but great concerts...Ozzfest 2006 was fucking awsome and now SOTU was just fucking Amazing....So this is how it went
So During Ozzfest they where giving out Sounds of the Underground tickets soo i got in for free which was awsome but anyways i left my house at 12:10 i guess my mom really wanted me to get out of the house. so i got there at around 12:30 and they didnt start letting people in till like 12:40 so i finally got in and i just sat there waiting till the first band went on...so i was sitting there and all of a sudden i heard a distinct voice that only came out of a certain person and that certain person was the only black guy there wearing a pink shirt...yep u guess right it was Wilbert...so he was there with JD and Frank..so that was cool to see some people i knew so early..but anyways we waiting in another line till the back gate to the parking lot open to get to the stage so we waiting there for a little...so we finally go to the stage and i saw Sam there so we hung out there and the first 2 bands where local bands so they where ok at a rate of 10 they where a 7...so yeh
Then Came on Through the Eyes of the Dead (9/10) they where very awsome..i had never seen them live before and they where a great band to start off the day. After then it was Horse the Band (7/10) they where pretty good..im not a big Horse the band fan but they are very funny and the keyboardist looks just like Napolian Dynamite lol...Next up was Evergreen Terrace (9/10) they did a great job..they always put on a great show..this was my second time seeing them soo they did really good...its too bad alot of people werent really into them..mostly cause there wasnt that many people there...and im guessing alot of people didnt really care about them...but they where really great. Next was the Chariot (6/10) im not a fan of them soo i didnt care for them so we went to go get some water...at this point i was hanging out with Finke and Morgan and Leah came which was awsome cause i havent seen her in a long time and she brought along her little brother and he seemed pretty cool...so we just stood in the very back waiting for The Chariot to finish up thier set...it seemed like it took forever..but then the greatness started when Behemoth came on (10/10) they where fucking awsome...they put on a great great show...i was actually very surprised that alot of people where really into them cause there was alot of Trivium shirts out there and alot of hardcore kids but they put on a great show and everyone seemed to enjoy them..then it was time for The Black Dahlia Murder (10/10) once thier banner came on it seemed like the crowed went crazy they put on a awsome show as well they did such a good job...alot better then ozzfest 2005 the only thing that was better from Ozzfest that year was that it wasnt as hot as yesterday. Once they got off it was time for Terror but im not that big of a fan so we went with Leah and her brother to go get some water...and man there was a fucking huge line and it took forever....HAHAHA at one point when i was in the line we where standing next to these 2 chicks and i accedently tapped her with my arm and then the girl in front of her was talking to this one guy and she asked him if he was in line in front of them already and he was like i dont know it doesnt matter im just thirsty and the girl was like yeh it does matter and then the other girl was like u can get in line behind me cause this guy keeps on swining his arms and hitting me and its pissing me off and she looked at me...the little short bitch had a little attitude problem...i think she was pregent too just like her friend...or she hasnt gotten laid...or she was on her rag...then she was saying something like i had to be in the bakc cause if my friend was right here i could hit her stomach and she is having a baby or something i dont know..but once they left and guy was like so what was up with those girls and i was like idk they probally on thier rag or she is pregnet alot or something and then the guy was like u should have sung at her stomach to get a abortion or something and we just fucking laughed it was fucking hilarious...but then we where all like ok that wasnt supposed to be funny but it was lol...but anyways back to the show...so when we finally got the water we went back and Terror had just got off and they where putting everything for Gwar so of course we had to get close...we didnt get that close but we got close enough and once they came on MAN. Gwar (1000/10) was fucking Amazing...they killed a cop, the Nazi Priest, and George Bush it was fucking great...it was even greater to see the faces of horror the cops and security guards had lol they where fucking great...it was a great show..then it was time for the all and mighty CANNIBAL CORPSE (1000000000/10) and they fucking OWNED...to me they where the fucking shit they where the best band there...i wished they could have gone on longer...it was just great everyone was going crazy when they came on it was just great..once they got off it was time for Trivium (7/10) they where ok...im not a big fan of them..but when i saw them on Ozzfest they wernt that bad...but i guess the guys voice kind of messed up so he couldnt scream..but i they did a awsome cover of Master of Puppets...it was veru good actually. then came In Flames (10/10) man they did such a fucking great job...alot better then what they did at 2005's Ozzfest...it was a great show they put on..and everyone was really into them...they know how to put on a show...then the last band As I Lay Dying (10/10) they did such a great fucking job too..the only band thing is that they took forever just to set up...it was so fucking hot even thought it was night time...but they did a great job on closing the Sounds of the Underground
so all and all it was a great fucking show i got to see and hang out with my friends Finke, Sam, Morgan and of course Leah :) i havent seen her in such a long time so it was good to see her since i didnt see her at Ozzfest...the only bad thing was that it was very fucking hot good thing i didnt get sunburned...but man once i got home i was so tired...but i did get to buy the Sounds of the Underground DVD which is very very awsome...if u dont have it u should get it there is alot of great prefomances including All That Remains, Devildriver, A Life Once Lost, Gwar, Unearth, Lamb of God, Everytime I Die, From Autumn to Ashes and so on...so its a very good buy
