This Russian Bastard that works at one of the other Chicago offices calls me with a printing issue in our accounting software. First, a few weeks ago it no longer defaulted to the proper printer. Now today he calls me and says that when he tries to print it is saying the printer is not connected at all. This is all through Citrix.
So, I ask him to do the first and most obvious of solutions. Log off of Citrix, reboot your machine and restart your printer. If there is a connection issue with the printer and the program it is the first, best thing to do.
"But, this never happened before", spoken in a broken, Communist tongue. "It always worked fine."
Yes, it always worked fine before. And I am sure you did something wrong and broke it. Now it's not working. Listen to what I ask you to do, and DO IT. Don't question me you fuck. Do as I say. If you have a better solution, by all means, use your solution and correct your own fucking problem. But, if you call me for help, and I tell you to do something... you fucking do it. You don't question me. You do it. It is amazingly just that fucking simple.
If you want to shake my monkey tree, well I just won't be available when you try to get a hold of me again. Of course, he's a big diaper-wearing asshole like the Mafioso and the V.P.s here, so when he doesn't get immediate results, he will call about three other 'higher-ups' to complain to them about it and try to force action.
