Jive Turkey

I did get all the outside Halloween stuff put away yesterday. As well as changing my oil, though it seems the check engine light was just a fluke that unplugging the battery for a few minutes resolved. There was no error code associated with the light turning on, so maybe it was just the colder weather. Who knows. Either way, the oil would have had to be done soon regardless. And it literally takes about 15 minutes to change the oil on a Jeep.

Today we did some shopping in the morning. The Sparrow had been wanting to get this turkey platter from Target he saw, before they sold out of them. I still have no clue how the holidays are going to play out, but we are intending on having Thanksgiving dinner here. I have no clue if my mother will even bring it up, or if her game will be to wait for me to. I am so sick of stressing about the drama of it.

I am really tired, as the cats did not care that the time changed this morning. And even though millions of other people enjoyed an extra hour of sleep today, I had cats start walking all over me around 3:30 this morning. I went back to bed after feeding them, but I find it so hard to fall asleep once I am up. In my mind, I am up so I should be doing something.

I am not sure I ever mentioned that the assholes next door did not get rid of their goats that they had in a shoddy pen that had gotten loose. We are not sure, but we think they may have been keeping them in the garage. They've spent the past week or so building this pen off of the existing shed over there (which I do remember writing about now). I had hopes it might block our view of them, as it looked like they might put a plywood wall on the back. Unfortunately, it seems like they're leaving 3/4 of the side open. So, we're still going to be waiting several more years for our yew hedge to grow.

I have more to say, but I am just tired and we are going to be leaving soon for that cat adoption thing. There's Godzilla's 70th birthday. P'nut the squirrel that the Democrats murdered. The Sparrow's coworker who is a braindead liberal (but I repeat myself).

We gained an hour today, but I just don't know where it went. The day feels like it went even faster than days were going before the clocks were set back. I am dreading work tomorrow (and the rest of the week). My time is due in the morning, which is just a pain on its own.
