Co. Aytch - Sam R. Watkins
A completely satisfying read and accessible insight into one man's experiences during the Civil War. I would think this book should be required reading in school. Especially, in our current times to shed light on the gray areas often lost in future judgements of history.
The author's writing style, of it's age, was equally a joy to read. I would put this book in the same catergory as David Kenyon Webster's 'Parachute Infantry'. An every man's view of history and war.
