It's finally over

Dad passed yesterday morning. His blood pressure simply dropped and he was gone. As far as I know, he went peacefully, without incident. He was in the hospital for almost 3 weeks. Now we are fighting the fight for ashes so that I can have Thomas with me to scatter Dad's ashes probably next summer. My stepmother won't give me a portion of the ashes ( Read more... )

but rember that ashed are just that. You dont need them to have your own little thing with Thomas.

And keep a eye out he will be around

I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing. Even though everyone knew that he had been nearing the end of his journey, it's still sad when it happens. I wish you peace and comfort as you mourn and process his passing, and good luck dealing with all that is to come.

I'm sorry honey. Truly am.
Your step-mother needs to have a house land on her. I'll even volunteer mine. While we're not home that is.
Blondie's right, love. Take Thomas somewhere beautiful and peaceful, and tell him your memories of Dad. I did a lot of that when the Grandmother died, and I couldn't possibly get to the service. It helps some.
We love you, and miss you.
