had a party
had a party yesterday. kinda a party, just some people over to drink. played settlers of catan, something stu has been wanting to do for awhile. was actually really fun, got into it ya'know?
spent today watching 2 indiana jones' movies plus bonus material. spent the next 3 or 4 hours downloading/sorting music. still haven't started studying genetics. russ coming over later to jam. really need to study genetics.
still pissed at myself for losing the waitress's number from that place in wicker park. even more pissed that i didn't just ask her for it again the second time we went there. that would have been weird...
still, i really liked her loose low slung clothing. i liked it even more that she wore the same thing both times i saw her. allison tells me she and her art school friends will be having another gathering at that place, so maybe i'll have a third chance. i wonder how many times i have to see her and admire her from a distance before it becomes stalkerish? what ever happened to secret admirers? is that a dead phenomenon, replaced by facebook pokers and the guy who stares at clothing store employees from the street, as if the windows weren't two way? really need to get to genetics.
ali brought her puppy crosby over last night. poor thing was so shy, never gets time to spend with people. miss having an animal around. they make things more surreal, like instead of being in your home, you're squatting in your animal's territory... and they're simply tolerating you. if alyssa and brett decide to live here next year (and it looks like they probably will) i'll get to have a dog around. big one too. but man ali looked cute. i tell ya livejournal, i need to get to the city. living up here is killing me.
