If you’re receiving this email, than you’re someone I trust completely and with my life should it come to that.
Tomorrow morning I am planning on offering my two tokens to the community with the main goal set as discovering if four tokens really equate to exit passes back home. I want to watch someone use them successfully or unsuccessfully. This way, we finally know once and for all if these missions are worth the effort or if our skills should be applied against other goals with more gain.
First of all, I did not offer them to any of my close friends because in chess, the pawns move first. It’s a tatic that I’m sure others are employing on the island, but that’s neither here nor there. The reality is that I’d rather not risk your lives unnecessarily on the first legitimate attempt to get off the island. I’m sorry if this upsets you, but please understand my good intentions behind my choices.
The purpose of this email is to let someone know of my plans in case they are compromised. I have no doubt that even while staying anonymous on video and taking all possible precautions, that some will still attempt to take the tokens by force. I cannot keep them, and nor may I know where they are hidden, since there exists at least one strong telepath here and more may be present. If there is any way to hide it and then add magical protections to it, please work together and do such.
Jessica, please trust Harry and Tonks, I know of them from history and they are good people who fight for good causes back home. As you know, they are powerful and a great addition to our little odd group, and I’d like to keep them on our side. In other words, keep being yourself but keep your eyes open towards those who are interested in poaching those of power for their own causes.
As I mentioned before, I have taken precautions and set up failsafes. I will be broadcasting a private feed via my own headset to those I trust. That way, if someone comes after me, you will be able to know who.
I’ve also installed failsafes on my devices should someone try and login or hack them.
Once the merchants, and hopefully the ferryman with them, dock for the day, I will need my tokens back as I intend to give them to the ferryman for someone else’s freedom. However, this is the portion of my plan that holds all the risk, of which I am fully aware.
In theory, if I somehow die I will be rebooted to the shrine. I hope this theory is correct and should something happen to me that results in death, I hope you can find me there.
