Having finally found the right moment and dived into the Firefly DVDs I've had from BBO since -May,- and watched the lengthy pilot, I have 2 immediate observations:
1. I was not mistaken after seeing Serenity; Reavers are one of the few things the entertainment industry has managed to produce that actually scare me in any measurable fashion. They were especially well done in the movie; I'll have to see if further episodes hit that same heebie jeebie vibe.
2. For a time, there was almost a Han Solo character on network television. I can't find words to express how sad I am that there is not any more.
