It's 6:52 PM at home, and i'm slightly bored. I bought 3 CDs online about two hours ago.
Now i'm at my computer with my guitar in my hand mindlessly strumming while Track 3 of Super Furry Animals is playing. It's the only track I really like on the 25 Track CD, though I shouldn't say too much about it since it's the only track i've paid any attention too. The CD is one of those CDs that quickly goes in the background. Unlike a Nitro Mega Prayer or Circle Takes the Square--or any other hardcore CD for that matter.
I've been practicing ska style, and I think I got it down good enough to be able to get better at it in a short period of time. I already know how to deaden strings--ironically, it came to me really quickly when I was looking at a tab for Smells Like Teen Spirit. Now, I want a pick, and an electric guitar. I feel like I can really make something. I just feel like i'd have to work too hard to make something I like on this folk guitar with notes that just aren't sharp enough.
I'm more than likely getting both of those very soon.
I'm definately going to get one of those very soon.
Here's a list of CDs i've purchased and have right now, along with an arbitrary rating system:
Nitro Mega Prayer - The Reason of Hers Smile (...)
The Ramones - Ramones(...)
Boards of Canada - Music has a right to the children (****) <-- A classic.
NOTE: I didn't review the first two CDs, because I don't like to give a verdict on music unless i've had it
for a good amount of time. Sometimes I just need to get used to it...
Here's a list of manga I haven't purchased and read between now and my last post:
Akira Vol. 1-4(****) <--Constant breakneck pace that you don't tire of. Can't wait to read the last two!
Revolutionary Girl Utena Vol. 1-5(***) <--Suprisingly good. The ending was slightly confusing...
Othello Vol. 1(**1/2) <--Chicks are bitches!
GTO Vol. 20(***) <--The GTO that I know and love. :)
Hmm...
My brother just came and gone, and I found out something not so nice that I won't say here because it's unimportant, and you wouldn't want to know.
I'm going to GameStop soon to buy a maximum of two X-Box games at the dorm. One of which will be Metal Gear Solid 2. I'll be able to play them when I get back to the dorm. I'll also get some stuff in the mail when I get back.
That was odd. I typed in home instead of my dorm. Now that I live in a dorm it's kinda funny. I've officially lost an idea of home. Now home is the place i'm not at. If i'm at my dorm, then my parent's house is my home and vice-versa. I guess my dorm has officially been called a home because I now get mail there--even if it's just shit I ordered online.
I have a very odd definitions of home that i'm not sure I fully comprehend... I'll leave it at that.
Good night.
