Heading home!!!
I hit the road and drove around Boston a bit trying to get my GPS to let me take the major highways instead of taking the back roads across the city. After about 15 minutes I finally found the right road and headed off to New York City.
I hit some traffic in NYC and I even got slightly lost coming in from the north. But I made it to Broadway. Once there I rushed around to get tickets. It was 1:20 when I made it to the Little Mermaid box office but they didn't have any wheelchair accessible seats left. So I had to decide...head up to Wicked and not be able to do another show if they had no tickets or walk across the street to The Lion King and still be able to try another show if they were sold out.
I decided to try The Lion King. Luckily they had tickets and I got to go in just as they opened the theatre doors. But all of this driving and delays meant I didn't even get a chance to grab a street vendor hot dog for lunch. So I grabbed a bag of pretzels and some Reeses Pieces from the concession stand. Not a great lunch but it was food.
The Lion King was great as usual. It was my third time seeing it and it's still wonderful.
One last Travel Channel food place to visit. I stopped for dinner at Rutts Hutt in Clifton New Jersey. I got myself 2 rippers for dinner. Great greasy fried hot dogs!!!! Cheap, bad for you food, I love it!
It was an easy drive down the New Jersey Turnpike, into Delaware and finally Maryland!!!
Once home I saw my new carpet and my painted living room. Nice job Mom!!! Thanks!!!
And for the end of the trip I had a wonderful nights sleep in my own bed then I did absolutely nothing constructive or adventurous on Sunday. But Monday I did make it back to work and had a good constructive day.
