Disclaimer: Show isn't mine and I'm not gonna lie but a part of me is really starting to think that's a good thing :).
There is a moment.
A moment in which he almost leans forward to press his lips to hers and a moment in which she has to fight every bone in her body not to pull him into a hug.
The thing is though... that moment? The one with the possibly momentous kissing and the can't live, can't breathe without you hug?
It never fully materializes and it probably shouldn't have.
Afterall, there was no way he was letting her get on that plane if it had happened and there's no way he would have been strong enough to leave.
So he reasons with himself internally-- tells himself to hold back and let her go. Just for a little while.
Because really? A year isn't that much time, especially when you know you've got a life together just waiting for you in the wings.
