Naji is creating a thing of perfection. It is called HITS FOR THE HEART, VOL. II, and you should all pay him several dollars and cents to have the honor to hear whatever it ends up sounding like.
He asked in his livejournal for some songs that would be appropriate for it, and being the romantic I am, I thought of too many songs to simply COMMENT. I decided to list my top love songs right here, and hope that some might be entertaining enough to make the cut. I was in the mood for posting something like this, anyway. Oh, and this is all Naji's thing. I take NO credit for this sweet musical endeavor, even though I wish I thought of it. XD
Bill's Freakin' Awesome Love Song List
"The Irish Keep Gate-Crashing" - The Thrills
I'm so glad you dig this song like I do. It is a godly creation, which should be obvious from the moment anyone realizes that The Thrills are from Dublin. Hardly anything on this list will compare to this song.
"Cold Hands, Warm Heart" - Brendan Benson
I already sent you this one, so you know it. Pretty depressing message, but a really happy melody!
"Love Vibration" - Josh Rouse
Feel the love vibration... Uh-huh.
"Feeling The Love" - Reactor
A bit more provocative than my other choices; it's a very sweet rock-ish song.
"Way You Walk" - Papas Fritas
This is one of those songs that should have been really popular. But that'd be no fun at all, so I'm glad it's obscure. A sad tune, but enjoyable nonetheless.
"Velvet" - A-Ha
One of the very first songs I sent Cat, probably the top of the list for just pure romance! XD The kind of song you want to learn how to play.
"Nice To Know You" - Candy Butchers
This track is IMPOSSIBLE to get. I bought it on Napster and was shocked they even had it. The band played "Nice To Know You" on the Conan O'Brien show last year, and I went NUTS. It was so hard to find... ;__;
"Can't Smile Without You" - Sean Beal
We've all heard the original, but did you know that there was an indie cover? Well, there is. And it's awesome.
"September" - Earth, Wind, and Fire
Here's the one semi-famous song for the list. I couldn't resist.
And of course...
"Ain't Nothin' But A G-Thing Baby" - Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg
"Let Me Clear My Throat" - Funk Master Flex & DJ Kool
...Actually... We could consider those for a collaboration compilation with Roosa... XD
