hmm... so I got a call from a job scout the other day. It involves building displays and merchandising the lighting department of a local Home Depot. I would not be a Home Depot employee, but rather a merchandiser for this other company. The starting pay is already $2 more an hour than what I make now, and the job essentially involves everything I was looking for when I originally posted my resume. I still owe 40 hours to my current job for a week's vacation I borrowed, so I would have to basically hand over a whole check before moving on, which sucks.
This opportunity seems absolutely perfect (did I mention they pay mileage and it's only 15 minutes away!). Perhaps I've grown a little trepidatious toward such big change. Damn growing up and and becoming responsible. I was told to expect a call from the hiring manager within the next few days.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
