Christmas was splendid.
My Christmas was mostly uneventful. I worked first shift, we took the boys to a lunch provided by one of the churches in town (they were mostly behaved there.. everyone other than the one boy that thought it was appropriate and good to sing "Mr. Roboto" at the top of his lungs over and over during dinner.. while the band was playing nice soft Christmas carols).
After work I zoomed to Niles, MI to have Christmas with my family. My Aunt Dona hosted for the 2nd or 3rd year in a row. It was lovely.. way way way too much food, the sugar to diabetic ratio was way out of balance, who will tell though! We did a white elephant gift exchange.. no one got white elephants, but I did get a ceramic bird that goes "we"... er.. actually it says "welcome" underneath it, but I only pulled it part of the way out of the box before I got home, so it just went we...
My folks stayed at my very messy place over night, I was a bit embarrassed by my mess, but honestly, too tired to care much. I went to bed at 9, even though my folks were there. Then up at 5 to head to work again!
Tomorrow and Wednesday are my days off.. if anyone is bored, give me a jingle.. then I work 2 days and have 5 days off, 1 day on 1st shift, and 4 days on 2nd shift.. or something like that, I should really get that figured out sometime.
