The hurricane disaster in the South continues to get worse. The gravity of the situation is enormous, and the response has been underwhelming. There is a clear path to major humanitarian crisis if things continue like this. The president and his administration has done shockingly little to help out here and the response from civilians is not organized, however large and overwhelming it is. In my inability to actually help hands-on, I have made a monetary donation in the amount of $25.00 to the American Red Cross, and I encourage you to do so (at however generous a monetary level you can afford) as well.
