This isn't a serial killer. I don't even think all of these were done by the same person. It's definitely Industry related, I can see the connections between these people just by reading the reports. Later, I'll pull up Excel and make myself a chart, see how close the connections are, and if any patterns present themselves.
But there are at lest 4 M.O.'s here, and only one of them has more than two appearances.
I understand what Paulson was talking about, though. I don't know enough about the industry (specifically the film bit of it) to be able to accurately judge the size of it, but I can see the statistics are off, here. Even in a high risk profession like this one (which is lower risk than working the streets, to be sure, but still higher risk than, say, working at Starbucks), there are too many corpses here.
I'm interested in knowing how the hell Paulson got access to some of these case files. Only 3 of them are actually his.
In other news, I'm out of beer and fags now. I'm going to have to go out.
Also, Susan left a message on my voicemail, telling me they've dropped the felony charges against the kid (I was sure they would, they aren't fucking stupid, even Tyndall, in spite of appearances), but they're letting the misdemeanor Possesion charge stand. I'd roll my eyes, but they're so swollen and bloodshot, they'd probably fucking stick. I'm in a moral quandry. The kid could easily get out of the charge; all he'd need is a lawyer smart enough to tell him to bargain for all charges to be dropped in exchange for prosecution friendly testimony in the shooting trial. Unfortunately, implementing that would require me actually talking to the little bugger, because I most sincerely doubt he'd figure that one out on his own. He'll opt for a public defender who can't find his arse with both hands and a topographical map.
Bugger.
