Okay, my dad? He's a dork.
Went to see him today, and spent several hours in chairs designed by the government to be uncomfortable, listening to him tell completely bullshit stories (going to Pamplona and somehow walking right into the Running of the Bulls by accident, finding that the prison had ordered 4 pallets of bad beef with intent to serve it to the inmates, other crap like that). If it wasn't for my Uncle Mike, who was a very lively person compared to how I remembered him, Danielle and I would've both fallen asleep. One discreetly planned flight plan and one discreetly planned oil change rescued us from more of his polite "subtle" grandstanding. He did not attempt to be Father Figure, though, probably because of Danielle's presence.
In the meantime, my monitor and/or video card is flaking on me, or possibly the drivers... Any answer I could find would be nice... some of my stuff won't run, and some video files are coming up dark and redshifted? Fricken' mysteries abound...
