Its true folks, I'm back update the wonderful world on my current events.
Spring break proved to be a good one. On Saturday, Jenny, Kat and I went up to New Hampshire to meet up with my parents. Gave Jenny a tour of lovely Pelham, NH then made our way down to Logan to catch our flight. It was time, the JetBlue plane pulled up to the gate and all aboard. The flight was nice, it really helped having personal TVs on the flight. Before we knew it, we landed in Ft. Myers! Once we got out of the airport, AHHHHHH nice, warm weather! It was heaven! We went to pick up our rental car. Well, to make a long story short...the shuttle driver was mean and unprofessional so the guy at Dollar gave us an upgrade..........we went from a small Dodge Neon up to a brand new Chrysler Pacifica! It was heaven.
We got into Naples, crashed and woke up to find RAIN! It doesn't rain in Naples!!!!!!! Grring, well, we made our way to the Grandparents and chilled there for a while. Then, Pa took us all on the grand tour of Naples through all the rich neighborhoods (this had to be tour #5 for me!) We ate in for dinner then went out for a little touristy things.
On Monday, we made our way into Miami. We checked into our hotel, the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay and got awesome rooms...then checked out South Beach. We ate and walked TRYING to find the Ritz at South Beach. Couldn't find it. Walked up to the Lowes Hotel and turned around. (I'll tell you why this location is important in a minute.) To be quite honest, I thought South Beach would be a little different. Granted, there were different kinds of people walking around, but not what I expected. Quite disappointed. Then made our way back to the hotel and went into the pool and hot tub! MMmmm. Then we were going to go to this Bayside place to see what it was all about and stuff....but come to find out, IT CLOSES at 9!! What closes at 9 in Miami? So we headed to Lincoln Road back toward South Beach (we didnt make it this far earlier in the day) Well, we walked around and ate dinner at Cafe Nexxt. Then, we walked to the end of the street........what's that! IT IS...THE Ritz-Carlton South Beach. Oh, and guess what it is right next to...the Lowes Hotel, yes it was right next to it. Grring.
It was back to Naples the next day. Finally, a NICE DAY! We made our way to the beach and back to the pool. And the rest of the week was kinda uneventful. We went to the touristy places, went out to eat a lot, and went mini-golfing. OH WAIT....1 more thing..
The day finally came...the Ritz-Carlton, Naples. We checked in and got a AWESOME ROOM! A NICE view of the Gulf of Mexico. We were on the 11th floor. I even got a card from the Executive Team welcoming me to the hotel and thanks for working so hard to make Marriott so successful. When I was checking in, the person next to me was paying $539.00 for the exact same room as mine. What did I pay...oh wait, $99! The property is just beautiful. I could really see myself working there after I get out of college. Just AWESOME!
Then, it was back here to New England...BOOO. But some exciting news, I finally got my new computer. I got an Apple iBook G4. I love this thing already. Its nice and fast and I can lay here in bed and do what I am doing right now.
Well kiddies, time to get going.
