8 days later..
I guess I should be grateful.. 8 days after my surgery, I can function pretty well. Until the evening that is. If I push it and either drive more than a short distance or do much physically, I'll really feel it in the evening. On Tuesday, the doc told me he was amazed how well I could move around after less than four days from this kind of surgery, but right now that's small comfort. I gave up on vicodin though.. after taking only eight total pills I figured there was something wrong to being totally immune to the starter dosage. So I quit. I quit and decided that a few drinks is a better way to go. I've been drinking off and on forever.. better to need that more than to like to drink now and then in addition to needing vicodin, I say. Yesterday it was rum & cokes, tonight it's a bottle of wine that I shared with my roomate (if you can call almost the entire bottle to me as sharing). I guess I should be grateful.. I was told that I can do what I can in so short a time because I've grown used to so much pain where I had that surgery.. another small comfort, lol! >cheers!
