He was pacing in the hallway of a muggle hospital, his shoes making a rhythmic squaking sound.
Finally, his mother rushed up.
“Bill, it took us forever to find this place!” she said breathlessly.
He gripped her hands. “Tonk‘s father insisted on having it here. Said he didn‘t trust St. Mungos.”
Molly nodded. “Yes yes, but why aren‘t you in there?”
Bill cowered a bit and that was when Molly noticed his nails were chewed down to the quick.
“It‘s frightening. When I was last in there she threw things at me and cursed me five ways to Sunday.” he said, taking his hands back and shoving them into his pockets.
“Bill,” Molly began pushing him towards the door, “you can‘t miss out on your child being born. Go in there. You owe it to Tonks.”
“Of course.” Bill stood up straighter and pulled his shoulders back. “Of course I do. I‘m a Gryffindor. I can do it.” So saying, he pushed open the door and walked in.
“Bill, you bloody bastard! You did this to me!” Molly heard Tonks shriek from within.
