Title: A Mother's Touch Can Do So Much
Word count: 100
Rating: G
Character or pairing: Bill
Challenge name: Bad Hair Day

Bill couldn’t believe she had done it. Sure, she had threatened it countless times, but to actually do it (just as he was to return to school for his sixth year!) was cruel and unusual.

He stared into the mirror, tugging at what remained of his hair. Just a quick severing charm and the hair he had worked so long to grow to a suitably rebellious length was gone. His mother hadn’t even bothered to try to make it even. How could she?

It was horrific! It was unspeakable! It was…time to find a hat for the train ride tomorrow.

Title: Teaching by Example
Word count: 100
Rating: PG
Character or pairing: Bill/Random Girl, Ron
Challenge name: Setting an Example

Bill knew he had to be on his best behaviour when at home. He had six younger siblings who emulated everything he did and depended on him to set a proper example.

So when a bit of messy red hair and a single eye peered out of Ron’s room and caught him on the stairs with a girl one night, Bill bent down and whispered ‘Remember, the fifth stair from the kitchen creaks, Mum is never asleep before eleven and the ghoul makes enough noise to cover a stampede around one,’ before deftly leading the girl up to his room.
